February 2022 Newsletter
This week we have experienced temperatures over 70 degrees. The great outdoors are calling!! The Nature Lodge hopes to become a conduit for those seeking volunteering opportunities looking for the right fit. We wanted to highlight some ways you can get your hands dirty, giving back in a safe-as-possible way, as we emerge from the uncertainty caused by the Omicron variant.
Hidden Beach Park Clean-Up
The Nature Lodge is hosting a beach clean up this Saturday February 12th from 9a-12p at Hidden Beach Park in Aptos, California. We will be providing coffee from The Ugly Mug Cafe, and tools & equipment necessary to get the job done! We invite families and students with a desire to fulfill Community Service hours to attend, and encourage participants to carpool as much as possible. Masks are highly recommended but not provided.

Equine-assisted activities is a range of activities with horses to improve human physical, emotional, and mental health. Equine-assisted therapy gives the ability to control a horse as well as one’s own body which inspires self-confidence, responsibility and encourages teamwork. Volunteers are the lifeblood of Divine Equine. If you love being around cool people and beautiful horses or have always been curious about horses, we offer training for horse leaders, and side walkers. As well as offer opportunities to help feed and muck!
